Inter School Events

Apeejay School participates in various inter school events. This allows the students to have an idea of the bigger world and also comprehend their level of expertise in comparison to others. Some inter-school events in which Apeejay School has participated are -

I. Anand Art Workshop
Apeejay Anand Children's Library, one at Park Street and the other at Salt Lake, are exciting havens for lesser privileged children residing in and around Park Street and Salt Lake. It is also a happening place for the Apeejay School students who use it as a platform for their benevolent and philanthropic activities with the special children attending the library. The library has been hosting a Art Workshop every year since 1992.More

II. British Council International School Award
The British Council International School Award (ISA) is a badge of honour for schools that do outstanding work in education through links with partner schools overseas. Apeejay School, Park Street engaged itself in the colourful and insightful three yearly activities in the following programme slots: 2006-7 to 2010; 2010-11 to 2014; 2014-15 to 2018.More

III. Winter Carnival
Apeejay Schools Kolkata organized a winter carnival on 28th January 2017, titled “Me and My Skills”, to showcase the creativity of students through multifarious activities such as Alpana Painting, Flower Arrangement, Dance and Music. Salad Making, Tie-Dye, Mime and Quiz competition. The Park street campus literally turned into a fantasy land, abuzz with students dressed up in colourful clothes. The carnival saw experts from various creative fields and faculty members share their experiences with the students through open forums and hands-on demonstrations. The day ended with an electrifying performance put up by the school band.

IV. Heritage Quiz
The CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2013 was held on 12th November 2013 at Apeejay School, Salt Lake, Kolkata. Nine schools had registered for the quiz namely Apeejay School Park Street, Apeejay School, Salt Lake, South Point High School, DAV Model School, Durgapur, Hemsheela Model School, Durgapur, Indira Gandhi Memorial High School, Barasat, Army Public School, Bendugi, BDM International School, Delhi Public School, Burdwan.

V. Science Exhibition conducted by C.B.S.E
Apeejay Schools, Kolkata, in association with CBSE India, celebrated the association of science and the human mind in the quest for excellence by showcasing a Regional Level Science Exhibition at its Salt Lake Campus from 28th to 31st of August 2013.Twenty seven schools from all over the eastern zone participated with their exhibits and fought a battle of wits with one another to claim the coveted honour. The venue for the exhibition has been changed by the Board, wef from 2016.

VI. CBSE international Life Skills, Values, Gender, School Health & Well-being Summit
CBSE in collaboration with Expressions India celebrated the art of living in the 2nd International Summit organized at Bal Bhawan, New Delhi from 16th to 18th December 2013.Over 183 schools from all over the country and UAE participated in the Summit. Apeejay school, Kolkata was one of them

VII. CBSE-KATHA - Creative Writing and Translation Competitions
KATHA, a Indian publisher of children's story books and translated fiction, has been working in the areas of creative writing and translation for nearly 25 years. "I Love Reading" is a programme to promote creative writing and translation among students I Love Reading Project seeks to nurture their creativity by giving them a platform to share their writing, thereby inspiring generations of future writers.

* Abhivyaki - hosted by Delhi Public School, Ruby Park
* Manthan - hosted by Abhinav Bharti School, Ruby Park.

IX. Clean Kolkata campaign with Kolkata Municipal Corporation
West Bengal Tourism in collaboration with Sarba Shiksha Aviyan organised Clean Kolkata Campaign as a part of Clean India Campaign on 8th November, 2013 (Phase 2). The mission was to create an awareness among one and all to take care of our city and its public places. Apeejay School had chosen Park Street, the hub of the city as their venue for the mission. Students of classes VII and VIII participated in this campaign

XI. Kolkata Inter-School Theatre Festival
Every year, Apeejay Schools Kolkata provides a platform to the young minds and souls to share their experiences on the various ongoing events and happenings of our lives. In the calendar year 2012 - 2013, it initiated the Right To Green Movement in the city wherein the school reiterated the need to conserve our Mother Earth from the scourge of pollution in its various forms. In 2014-15, year too Apeejay School took up the cause of gender democratization and gender sensitivity and organized a two day Inter School Theatre festival at MohorKunja on the 27th and 28th of January.

XII. Kolkata4women
The Times Of India undertook the initiative of Kolkata4women in association with Apeejay School Kolkata to spread awareness among girls on the issue of Women Empowerment. The girls of Apeejay School Park Street attended an interactive session with renowned clinical psychologist Jaita De Mullick and career consultant Mohua Roy who spoke at length, with the girls, about gender equality and the way the society treats a girl child and ways to improve the position of women and girls in the world today.
