KMCP Learning Project

Education should start from the grass root level of the society, then only the development of the country will accelerate. Believing in this idea, Apeejay School Park Street, Kolkata have taken various steps to educate the children of the slum areas and other under privileged children including some physically challenged children. Students of Apeejay Schools impart education among these children through 'Each One Teach One' project where the students and teachers extend their helping hands to educate these children at Apeejay Anand Children's library in Apeejay Schools.

Apeejay School, Park Street has adopted KMCP School, North range, as their sister school. Once in a week the children studying at KMCP School visit Apeejay Anand Children's Library, Park Street to learn computers. Students of Apeejay School Kolkata visited Durgapur Anand Foundation, an organization for street children where they interacted with the children and donated clothes, books, copies, pencils, erasers, and other equipments required for their studies.

School children make frequent visits to the schools which lay emphasis on the following issues :

  1. Cultural Growth
  2. Stress on health and hygiene
  3. Recycling charts
  4. Help provided by school counsellors

Joining hands with other schools, we are also working towards bringing a ray of hope in their lives and smiles on their faces.
